Two great clinics scheduled for Winnipeg Model Railroad Club's April Zoom meeting

Above is a sample of Bobby Glendinning's layout and modelling work.

We have two great clinics for our April ZOOM meeting! Both clinicians are from out of province and will showcase different aspects of model railroading.

First, Bobby Glendinning will present model railroading from a young engineer’s perspective. He will discuss how model railroading fits into a young husband and new father’s life, how electrical & software engineering skills benefit his hobby projects, and how he designed & scratch-built multiple 100-car HO-scale unit trains. He will also talk about the Sipping & Switching Society of North Carolina, describe their module standards, and show how they set up their 15,000-square foot modular layout every year.

Then Ron Guttman will present the birth of an empire: Designing and building the Dolores & San Miguel Railroad. He will discuss the development of this railroad and how it is being transformed into an almost 300 square foot layout with about 250 feet of main line.

We will be holding our monthly on-line photo display for members only. One lucky entry will receive a $20 gift certificate, The deadline for submission is Friday, April 9, at 5:00 PM CST.

Our meeting starts at 7:30 PM CST on Friday, April 9. Members have already received the link allowing them to join in. If you are not a member and wish to join us, please email us at wmrc.trainclub@gmail.com and you will be sent a link.
