The 2025 CPKC Holiday Train returns to Manitoba

The 2025 CPKC Holiday Train is coming to Manitoba, raising food, money and awareness for local food banks and food pantry organizations. Food banks will be at each stop to accept food and money donations. Performers this year are Jade Eagleson and Teigen Gayse. 

On Wednesday, December 3 they’ll make their first stop in the province at 7:00PM in Whitemouth at the Whitemouth Hotel on Railway Avenue. At 9:15PM they’ll be in Winnipeg at Panet Road and Molson Street.

On Friday, December 5 they’ll be in Portage La Prairie at 11:30AM at the CP Station, 309 1st Street, N.W. They’ll stop in Neepawa at 2:30PM on Railway Street between Mountain Avenue and Currie Avenue. Then at 4:00PM they’ll be in Minnedosa at 30 2nd Avenue, NW. Their last stop in the province will be in Shoal Lake, North Railway Avenue at 7:15PM. 

 

The CP holiday train arrives in Manitoba today

The CP holiday train arrives in Whitemouth, Manitoba at 6:45PM today. It will arrive in Winnipeg at 9:00PM at the grade crossing at Panet Road and Molson Street.

On Tuesday, December 3, the train will arrive in Portage La Prairie at 11:15AM. Then it will arrive in Neepawa at 2:45PM, then at Minnedosa at 4:00PM. It will make its final Manitoba stop at Shoal Lake at 7:15PM. Featured performers this year are Scott Helman and Madeline Merlo.

The CP holiday train is coming to town!

It's that time of the year again! The CP holiday train will be rolling into Winnipeg on Friday, December 4, arriving at Molson Street between Panet Road and Munroe Avenue at 9:00 PM. Showtime is from 9:15 to 9:45, and the featured performers this year are Devin Cuddy and Kelly Prescott.

Kelly Prescott is no stranger to Holiday Train. She has taken part in numerous U.S. tours and was featured on many of the past Holiday Train CD's, including the gold record release in 2005. In 2013 she shared the stage with Sheryl Crow and Take Six on the Holiday Train 15th anniversary show in Minnesota.​​​ Devin Cuddy is the son of one of Canada's most beloved singer/songwriters, Blue Rodeo's Jim Cuddy, country rock has been the soundtrack to Devin's entire life.
 
The train will also make stops at Portage la Prairie on December 5 opposite the Centennial Arena on 390-1st St. NW at 1:15 PM. It then arrives at Minnedosa at 5:00 PM west of the station on the north side of the yard, 30 2nd Ave, NW. It makes its last stop in Manitoba at Shoal Lake by the gravel lot adjacent to grain elevator on North Railway Avenue at 8:15 PM. 

The CP Rail Holiday Train is coming to town!

    The CP Rail Holiday Train, a wonderful Christmas tradition for rail fans and non-rail fans alike, will be returning to Winnipeg on December 2. It will be at Molson Street between Panet Road and Monroe at 9:15 PM (that's 21:15 in railroad time). The jolly old gent himself will be making an appearance! Now there's a luck guy - he gets to ride a sleigh AND the CP Holiday Train at Christmas time! Doc Walker, Melanie Doane and Crystal Shawanda will also be performing.

     If you want to catch it earlier than that, then you can drive over to Whitemouth, where it will make a stop at 7:00 PM (19:00 railroad time). Along with jolly old Saint Nick, Melanie Doan and Crystal Shawanda will be performing there. Then you can chase the train back to Winnipeg! But please drive carefully!

     The train will also be making at stop at Portage La Prairie, opposite the Centennial Arena, 390 1st street NW,  on December 3 at 4:00 PM (16:00 railroad time). Melanie Doane and Doc Walker will perform there. Santa will be there too - maybe he'll do some rail fanning at the diamond!

      If you really feel like chasing that train, it will also be in Minnedosa on December 3 at 7:45 PM
(19:45 in railroad time) west of the rail station, north side of the yard, at 30 2nd Avenue NW. It will be at Shoal Lake on December 4 at 9:00 AM (9:00 railroad time, of course) at the gravel lot adjacent to the grain elevator on North Railway Avenue. Melanie Doane, Doc Walker and a certain Mr. Kris Kringle will be appearing at both locations. If you manage to make it to all of these places, you'll probably be BFFs with all of them!

      Since its inception in 1999, the train has raised more than $7.4 million dollars and over 3 million pounds of food in Canada and the U.S. Everyone who attends is encouraged to donate food and money, which will stay in the community.
