The 7th Division PNR holds virtual railway modellers meet


The 7th Division Pacific Northwest Region of the NMRA is holding a free virtual railway modellers meet. It will feature interactive clinics where audience members can ask questions and participate.

There will be two clinics each session with a 30 minute break between clinics. Sessions will run Thursday evenings until June 11, 2020. Each session with start at 7:00pm Pacific Time and end by 9:30 pm at the latest. The Zoom meeting room will open 15 minutes in advance. Please join before 7:00 pm in case you have any computer issues.


Register here by providing your name and email address. All registrants will receive a link to the Zoom meeting page that you can use to log into the clinic presentations once a week, two days in advance of each session. 

You can attend the meeting using the Zoom website.  While you don’t need to download Zoom, it is recommended that you use the Zoom app and are familiar with it before attending.

There will also be a two hour Virtual Display Room and “Meet the Modeller” event using Zoom on Thursday, June 4. Modellers will be asked to submit a short information form and photographs of their model to the Display Room coordinator by May 29.



An online slide show of the submissions will be created, and a moderator will walk through the photos in a real-time question and answer session with each participant.  Each modeller will be invited to say a few words about the project.

Winnipeg Railway Museum reopens

Great news! The Winnipeg Railway Museum has reopened! They're open every day from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. If you do plan on visiting the museum you must follow the rules that are in place to visit both Union Station and the museum and you must follow safe distance rules.

The Winnipeg Railway Museum is located on the second level of the Via Rail Station, 123 Main Street, in Winnipeg. Adult admission is $7.00, seniors (65+) is $6.00, students (16+ with ID) is $6.00, children (5+) is $6.00. Family admission (two adults and up to three children) is $20.00. Infants under three years of age accompanied by an adult are admitted for free.

NMRA-X clinics have been posted on-line on Facebook

Did you miss any part of the NMRA-X virtual convention last Saturday, or the virtual convention that was held on April 24th and 25th? Fear not, because they’re on-line, and anyone, including those who are not NMRA members, can view them!

All you have to do is go to https://www.facebook.com/pg/NMRA.org/videos/ to watch these great model railroading clinics anytime, anywhere, or anyplace with your cell phone, tablet or computer.
You don't need a Facebook account to view them.
